Full Charge Bookkeeper

Kforce has a client in Farmingdale, NY that is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper.Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight and support to the current bookkeeper, who handles day-to-day AP and AR functions
• Address and resolve the existing accounting backlog
• Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintain and update the general ledger
• Process payroll through Paychex for approximately 30 employees
• Work closely with the Controller at the parent company and the outside CPA firm to gather required financial information and assist in the preparation of financial statements
• Serve as the internal liaison for employee HR matters. Maintain employees PTO records Paychex handles the company's HR administration, but this person will coordinate between employees and Paychex as needed

• 5+ years of full charge bookkeeping experience
• To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
• Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
