Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial consultations to gather detailed information on clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health history.

• Evaluate clients’ conditions and deliver insightful assessments to aid in the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing effective therapeutic techniques and interventions.

• Continuously monitor clients’ progress through regular follow-ups and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.

• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure an integrated approach to client care.

• Document all therapy sessions and client interactions thoroughly, maintaining compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Assist families and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

• Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of psychotherapy and implement best practices to enhance client treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this vital role, you will work closely with clients from various backgrounds, including individuals, couples, and families facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction disorders. Our clientele represents a wide range of ages and needs, the diversity of which enriches the therapeutic process and fosters a collaborative and inclusive community within our practice.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of Texas.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for documenting client interactions and maintaining treatment records.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of underlying physical and emotional health conditions and their role in addiction disorders, enabling comprehensive care strategies.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with an empathetic and supportive approach when interacting with clients and team members.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience as a mental health counselor providing effective therapeutic services in a clinical setting.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
