Job Description:

We are hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist in Houston, TX for a short-term contract opportunity supporting a high-volume AP environment. Candidates with Oracle Cloud or Oracle Fusion experience are strongly preferred, and exposure to APEX is a plus.

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced workflows and have strong data entry accuracy processing large volumes of invoices.

Key Responsibilities:

* Process high-volume accounts payable invoices (100+ per day target)

* Enter and code invoices within Oracle Cloud/Fusion

* Execute payments via ACH, wire transfers, and manual checks

* Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor issues

* Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries

* Review employee expense reports

* Support recurring payments and AP reporting

* Assist with outstanding transactions requiring research and follow-up

Qualifications:

* 3+ years of accounts payable experience

* Strong invoice processing and coding experience

* Experience with Oracle (Cloud or Fusion preferred)

* High-volume data entry experience (100-200 invoices/day preferred)

* Exposure to APEX or similar systems is a plus

* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet daily processing goals

* Team-oriented with strong communication skills

Work Details:

* Location: Houston, TX (100% on-site)

* Schedule: Flexible start between 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM

* Duration: 2-3 month contract, potential to extend

* Pay: $26-$29/hour

Pay Details: $26.00 to $29.00 per hour
