Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, evaluating patients' trauma histories to guide individualized treatment planning.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment strategies that promote trauma recovery and resilience, adapting approaches as necessary based on patient feedback and progress.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to deliver effective therapy sessions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process their trauma and practice coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each patient.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, fostering a sense of safety and security for patients.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources, empowering them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapists at Atlas Psychological and Counseling Center provide care primarily to individuals who have experienced trauma, including victims of abuse, survivors of violence, and those with complex trauma histories. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must hold a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.

• Two or more years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities, along with resilience-building techniques.

• Proficient in delivering trauma-focused therapies, demonstrating a compassionate and empathetic therapeutic approach.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring a non-judgmental and supportive environment for clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from $80,000 to $104,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
