Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate movement patterns, strength, and functional abilities, effectively tailoring treatment plans to meet individual rehabilitation goals.
• Implement diverse treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as heat and cold therapy, to alleviate pain and improve physical function.
• Guide patients through daily functional activities, such as bed mobility, transfers, and ambulation, focusing on gait training and balance improvement.
• Utilize assistive devices (e.g., walkers, braces) to help patients regain independence while addressing any challenges encountered during therapy sessions.
• Monitor and document patients' progress meticulously, providing regular reports to supervising physical therapists and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about post-treatment care routines and preventative strategies to sustain long-term health and recovery.
• Participate in team meetings and mentor junior staff members, sharing knowledge and skills to elevate team performance and patient care standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation.
