Bookkeeper Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial operations of a well-established, locally owned business. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and payroll, completing reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting and tax preparation.
Responsibilities
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial operations of a well-established, locally owned business. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and payroll, completing reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting and tax preparation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account analysis
- Complete balance sheet and daily bank reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payments after management approval
- Prepare and submit payroll information accurately and on time to an outsourced payroll provider
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Organize financial documentation for CPA and annual workers' compensation audits
- Assist with tax preparation by organizing required financial documentation
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Perform accurate data entry and 10-key typing
- Support other accounting and administrative tasks as needed
- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
- Experience with general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Experience performing bank reconciliations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with accounting software; QuickBooks or similar systems preferred
- Payroll and tax experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently
