Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will form an essential part of our therapeutic team and will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations for individuals and families.

• Provide therapy to couples, including both joint sessions and individual sessions to address specific concerns.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to manage a range of issues, including but not limited to: \n

  • Alcohol abuse and its impact on family dynamics.

  • Dealing with physical or psychological abuse within family settings.
  \n
  • Support clients with grief and loss issues as they navigate relational challenges.
  \n
  • Mediate conflicts among family members, incorporating effective communication techniques.

  • Address job-related stress and medical issues that affect client well-being.
  \n
  • Assist blended families with adaptation challenges in the context of remarriage.
  \n
  • Guide clients through separation and divorce processes, focusing on their emotional adjustments.
  \n
  • Facilitate discussions around mother-daughter conflicts and family cutoff situations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your caseload will encompass a diverse range of clients, including adults and children/adolescents. You will be addressing complex interpersonal dynamics within families while ensuring that all clients receive tailored, compassionate care that respects their individual circumstances and needs.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Current and valid Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) designation in the state of Maryland.
