This role requires an energetic and compassionate mental health professional who holds a current state license as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C. In this position, you will meet with clients in a remote outpatient setting, assessing their mental health status and developing personalized therapeutic strategies to assist them in navigating challenging life situations, such as substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.

Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, providing you with the flexibility to conduct sessions from a setting that is convenient and comfortable for both you and your clients. While most of your work will be performed virtually, some collaborative team meetings may occur in-person at our Columbia office. Our outpatient facility is equipped with the latest telehealth technologies, creating an effective workspace for fulfilling your counseling duties. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments during virtual intake sessions to establish rapport and evaluate each client's mental health status.

• Design, implement, and adjust tailored therapeutic treatment plans based on assessment outcomes, regularly reviewing progress with clients.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that effectively utilize evidence-based practices, fostering a safe and inclusive atmosphere.

• Provide clients with practical coping strategies, therapeutic tools, and resources to ensure they receive comprehensive care.

• Communicate regularly with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to coordinate care and provide referrals when necessary.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR), documenting client sessions and treatment progress according to organizational standards.

• Actively engage in clinical supervision and peer review processes to enhance therapeutic skills and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals experiencing various mental health challenges such as postpartum issues, trauma, addiction, and more. This role will emphasize cultural competence, ensuring that all clients feel acknowledged and respected, regardless of their background. By utilizing culturally responsive approaches, you will help clients build resilience and navigate their unique journeys toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid license as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.

• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on delivering quality care to diverse clientele.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and an ability to adapt to technologically driven workflows.

Compensation and Benefits\n
