Work Environment\n

This role is conducted in a remote setting, providing the flexibility for our counselors to work from home while still engaging in meaningful therapeutic activities. Although you will primarily work independently, you will also collaborate regularly with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, ensuring comprehensive care is provided to all clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments that include psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments to understand each client's unique challenges.

• Work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, addressing their specific needs, goals, and cultural sensitivities.

• Deliver a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, using methodologies such as CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

• Provide immediate crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring a connection to ongoing support and care for clients facing acute distress.
\n
• Maintain rigorous and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, in alignment with clinic standards and regulatory requirements.

• Educate clients and their families, empowering them with tools and knowledge to manage their mental health conditions and navigate challenges effectively.

• Conduct regular evaluations to assess the effectiveness of treatment and be prepared to modify approaches based on client feedback and outcomes.

• Engage in professional development by staying informed about the latest research and trends in mental health, integrating this knowledge into practice.

• Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and respect for all client information is maintained at all times.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of New York.

• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in building rapport with a diverse clientele.

Preferred Experience\n

At least two years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling is preferred. Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and experience in providing culturally sensitive treatment will be advantageous.

• The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $84,000, contingent upon experience, education, and skills.
