Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as an LCSW, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' psychological and emotional wellbeing to inform individualized treatment plans, utilizing best practices in assessment.

• Implement a range of evidence-based interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to address specific mental health challenges.

• Maintain detailed clinical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in patient documentation.

• Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive support for students, fostering an integrated approach to mental health within the educational environment.

• Engage in regular case supervision and peer consultation meetings, enhancing your clinical skills and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

• Educate families about mental health resources, ensuring they have access to support systems within the community.

• Stay informed about emerging research and trends in mental health practice, incorporating relevant findings to optimize therapeutic approaches.

• Manage a full caseload, adapting therapy to meet the changing needs of students, thereby facilitating their emotional and academic success.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with children and teenagers, addressing a multitude of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and trauma. Engaging with families is a crucial element of this role, as you will guide parents and guardians in supporting their children’s mental health journeys. Your ability to foster trust and rapport will be vital in promoting open communication and effective interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active LCSW license in the state of New York.

• A minimum of three years’ experience providing clinical services, with a focus on child and adolescent populations.
