Strategic Sales Director Technology

Job Overview Strategic Sales Director, Technology – responsible for acquiring new high‑complexity businesses and expanding existing customer relationships in the Americas Region. Compensation: $190,000.00 – $200,000.00 base salary, health and welfare programs, 401(k) retirement plan, tuition assistance, and incentive compensation. Key Responsibilities Expand relationships with strategically important medium and large customers from global and regional customer base, creating new opportunities impacting other countries within the Americas. Develop new business opportunities that have a direct effect for Hellmann countries within the Americas, including customers headquartered in key countries and opportunities involving cross‑country selling. Handle large opportunities at country level in smaller countries where management may require additional sales expertise. Prospect new accounts within the region via lead generation, telemarketing, direct mail, and personal solicitation. Apply Hellmann Sales Process and deliver personal sales plan in CRM and Corporate Planner on time and against budget. Maintain effective customer records in CRM system. Prepare quotations, present proposals, and close business. Establish SLA and SOPs with assigned customers. Lead joint customer planning process to develop performance objectives, financial targets, and KPIs for 1–3 years. Support new customer implementation and manage expectations. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure profitable business and achieve targets. Create new sales leads within the Hellmann network and follow up on generated leads. Provide continuous process improvement feedback to stakeholders. Work closely with Opportunity Management Team on RFQs. Own the customer complaint process and ensure successful implementation of solutions. Act within Hellmann business code of conduct. Achieve assigned sales goals (GP, volume target). Meet growth and profitability expectations for customers. Complete customer plans meeting company standards. Guide OMT to deliver RFQ responses. Live and deliver Hellmann brand promise by building lasting relationships. Achieve defined level of qualification within sales development program. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Logistics/Supply Chain, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Technology role. Experience: Customer‑facing role with proven track record of significant accountability. Knowledge, Skills & Attributes: Background in Technology Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding. Experience with Technology products. Understanding of customer supply chains and networks. Comprehensive knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics processes. In‑depth knowledge of Hellmann products and services and ability to articulate them professionally. Understanding of markets, industries, and competitors; ability to identify best practices. Clear understanding of all elements of the strategic sales process. Physical demands: Frequently standing, walking; sitting extended periods; use arms to reach; use computer and phone; speaking clearly; vision for close‑up; frequent overnight travel – up to 50%.
