Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with middle school students, ideally in a self-contained classroom
• Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication and collaborative abilities with colleagues and families
• Ability to adapt lessons and classroom management strategies to fit individual learning needs
• Familiarity with compliance and documentation in educational settings

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to a class of 12 students with mild to moderate special needs
• Develop, monitor, and report on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Track student progress, making necessary adjustments to strategies and supports
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and achievement
• Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to all state and district requirements
