Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Set in a supportive educational environment near Henderson, NC, this contract opportunity is tailored for an experienced Special Education Teacher passionate about empowering middle school learners. The upcoming academic year starts August 13, 2026, and extends through June 3, 2027, providing the chance to make a meaningful difference during a full school year. Working Monday through Friday from 7:15 am to 3:15 pm, you'll guide a self-contained group of twelve students exhibiting mild to moderate educational needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience teaching middle school students, ideally in a self-contained or resource room environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, personalized lessons for a classroom of twelve students with mild to moderate needs
• Create, review, and carry out Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Employ evidence-based strategies to close learning gaps and support student well-being
• Collaborate with families, support staff, and general education teachers to ensure student success
• Document progress and maintain compliance with district and state regulations
