Mind, Body, & Soul Counseling is seeking a passionate and highly-trained Licensed Mental Health Counselor to become an integral part of our Special Education Program. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while serving students in a school setting in Mesa, Arizona. In this role, you will apply your expertise in mental health to support a diverse population of students with special needs, focusing on delivering both individual and group therapy.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the needs of students with diverse special needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address mental health concerns and foster emotional well-being.
\n
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to students with ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, and trauma backgrounds.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to promote personal growth and the development of effective coping strategies among students.
\n
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide holistic care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring students receive timely assistance.
\n
• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions, available resources, and coping mechanisms.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance team performance and personal growth.

• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in mental health and education.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role directly supports a patient population that includes students with a variety of special needs. Qualifications\n

• Current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) , Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) , Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) , or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) .

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and competencies in trauma-informed care.
\n
• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues, exhibiting empathy and professionalism.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working as a Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor.

• Experience delivering individual and group therapy tailored to students with diverse learning and emotional needs.

• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to manage challenging situations with poise.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
