Accounts Payable Support & Processing Specialist

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Support & Processing Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable function. This individual will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, resolving payment discrepancies, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and possess strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Required Skills & Experience:

• At least 1 year of high-volume AP experience
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP/accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, supporting documentation, and compliance with company policies.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries.
• Process vendor payments through various methods including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate vendor records, including updates to banking information, addresses, and tax documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable.
• Generate and maintain AP reports and payment tracking logs.
• Collaborate with branch locations, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve transaction issues.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and account details.
• Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to company financial controls and AP procedures.
