Work Environment

The position is onsite at our hospital facility in Bronx, New York, providing a supportive and collaborative atmosphere for healthcare delivery. You will work in a dynamic clinic setup alongside MDs and fellow nurse practitioners, with structured hours from Monday to Friday, culminating in a commitment of 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities

As a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough physical examinations and reviewing patients’ medical histories.
• Ordering and analyzing diagnostic tests such as blood tests and imaging to inform clinical decisions.
• Diagnosing acute and chronic health conditions in patients of all ages.
• Formulating and implementing treatment plans for various diseases, both chronic and infectious.
• Prescribing medications, and educating patients about their conditions and treatment options.
• Maintaining meticulous health records and patient schedules to ensure continuity of care.
• Providing health education to patients and their families about preventive measures and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Promoting wellness initiatives and assisting in the management of overall patient health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse demographic of patients, representing the multifaceted health needs of the Bronx community. This involves caring for individuals with varying degrees of health literacy, socioeconomic backgrounds, and cultural considerations, requiring you to tailor your approach to meet each patient’s unique needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• A valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a concentration in Family Practice.
• An active DEA number for prescribing medications.
• Certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is required.
• Proven clinical experience within a primary care, acute care, or urgent care setting.
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to patient confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following attributes will enhance your candidacy:

• Bilingual skills to improve communication with our patient population.
• Extensive clinical experience in family health, cardiology, or internal medicine.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a robust benefits package that includes:
