Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and screenings for students exhibiting symptoms of major mental illness and/or severe emotional disorders, tailoring interventions to meet their unique needs.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement comprehensive care plans that are integrated with other services, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy, focusing on evidence-based practices that promote recovery and resilience among clients.
\n
• Engage in ongoing evaluation of client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on measurable outcomes.
\n
• Assist in crisis intervention by identifying high-risk situations and providing timely, appropriate responses.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and treatment progress in our secure electronic health record system.

• Participate in periodic training and team meetings to share insights and stay updated on the latest methodologies in social work and mental health care.

• Take part in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students in school settings who experience a range of emotional and behavioral challenges. Many of these students come from under-resourced backgrounds, necessitating culturally sensitive and individualized therapeutic approaches that foster hope and agency.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.

• Expert knowledge of clinical assessment, diagnosis, and intervention techniques, especially with school-aged populations.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for effective client interaction and documentation.

• Exceptional organizational abilities, with a proven ability to manage caseloads and prioritize effectively.

• A deep understanding of cultural competence and the ability to work respectfully with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
