This full-time position allows for a flexible remote work environment while focusing on the provision of high-quality mental health care to our diverse client base. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will assess clients' mental health needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and guide them through their therapeutic journeys.

This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing counselors to manage their schedules effectively while reaching out to clients in need. Although the majority of your work will take place virtually, you will also have the opportunity to engage with individuals in our outpatient office in Richmond, should you choose to do so. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments to evaluate patient mental health status and needs through detailed interviews and standardized assessments.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans addressing specific issues such as anxiety, depression, substance use, eating disorders, and other mental health conditions.

• Engage in regular counseling sessions with clients, employing therapeutic techniques to help clients develop coping strategies and improve their mental health.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote communal growth and exchange of ideas, ensuring an inclusive environment for all participants.
\n
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) to document patient progress, treatment plans, and therapeutic interventions, adhering to confidentiality and ethical guidelines.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive care and referrals as needed.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in urgent situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques to manage immediate concerns effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a broad and diverse population, including individuals from various age groups, cultural backgrounds, and socio-economic statuses. The clients may present with a wide range of challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and addiction issues. A key focus of our practice is to promote cultural competence and sensitivity, ensuring that each client feels valued and understood throughout their healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.

• A minimum of four years of professional experience in providing therapeutic services in a mental health setting.

• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based modalities, and the ability to adapt treatment approaches to accommodate individual differences.

• Proven experience in crisis intervention, with strong skills in managing high-pressure situations while maintaining professional conduct.

Compensation and Benefits\n
