Material Coordinator

Yulista Contract Services LLC Regular Primary Function The Material Coordinator coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities. Essential Duties In this job, the Material Coordinator reviews production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue, locates material, requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material; arranges for in‑plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, works with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments, and examines material delivered to production departments to verify if the type specified. This worker may monitor and control movement of material and parts along conveyor system, using remote‑control panel board, compute amount of material needed for specific job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and using an adding machine; compile reports of quantity and type of material on hand, move or transport material from one department to another using hand or industrial truck; may compile perpetual production records to locate material in process of production, using manual or computerized system, and maintain employee records. Desired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Receive Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), kits, and other inventory property. Accurately enter all property into database and perform material transfers and releases as needed per all company processes and federal regulations. Conduct inventory cycle counts, verifying item storage, location, quantity, etc. Maintain control and accuracy of material and records using both manual and electronic inventory control systems. Familiar with ITAR, FAR, DFAR regulations. Oversee physical inventory annually. Enter data accurately into databases, follow processes, perform basic mathematical computations, and write routine reports and correspondence. Learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista’s goals. Analytical skills to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas. Multi‑task and perform duties with minimal supervision. Strong decision‑analysis and problem‑solving skills; justify decisions. Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Deltek CostPoint; ability to learn additional software such as TCMax, TMI Portal, CostPoint and Cognos. Previous experience conducting physical inventory counts. High degree of self‑motivation, independent work skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and are trustworthy. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 2 years of related work experience preferred. Ability to handle physical demands of a warehouse environment, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting inventory items up to and at times exceeding 50 pounds with appropriate safety requirements. Reliability and responsibility with ability to work independently and willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed. Pass drug and background screening. Obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
