About the Role
As an SMB Account Executive , you will own the full sales cycle for small and medium-sized healthcare organizations—from prospecting and pipeline generation through negotiation and closing.
You’ll engage practice owners, office managers, operations leaders, and other decision-makers to understand their workforce challenges and position Edge as a trusted talent partner.
This role is ideal for a consultative seller who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment, consistently exceeds quota, and enjoys building long-term customer relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle for SMB healthcare accounts from prospecting through closed-won
- Generate and manage a healthy pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, referrals, and follow-up opportunities
- Build relationships with healthcare decision-makers by understanding their operational and staffing challenges
- Deliver consultative product demonstrations and tailored workforce solutions
- Negotiate contracts and successfully close new business opportunities
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Customer Success, Recruiting, and Operations to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity updates, and sales forecasts
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Continuously develop market knowledge and provide customer insights that strengthen Edge’s go-to-market strategy
What You’ll Need
Must-Haves
- Required: Proven experience selling into healthcare organizations . Applications without direct healthcare sales experience will not be considered.
- 3–6 years of B2B sales experience with a proven record of closing new business
- Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
- Consistent track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas
- Strong consultative selling, discovery, negotiation, and closing skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced sales environment
- Self-motivated, coachable, and highly results-oriented
Nice to Have
- Experience selling staffing, workforce solutions, HR technology, SaaS, or healthcare services
- Experience selling into physician groups, dental practices, specialty clinics, or other SMB healthcare organizations
- Familiarity with modern outbound sales tools such as ZoomInfo or Salesloft
- Experience working in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment
