Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience working with students with a range of learning disabilities and educational needs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEP processes and ongoing progress documentation
- Flexible, resourceful, and passionate about helping all students achieve their full potential
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet student goals
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in both small group and inclusive classroom settings
- Collaborate regularly with multidisciplinary teams to assess student progress and adapt strategies
- Advocate for student needs and offer support to classroom teachers for accommodations and modifications
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation according to state and federal guidelines
- Foster a supportive, encouraging atmosphere that helps students grow both academically and socially
