This full-time contract opportunity spans the academic year, from August 5th, 2024 through May 21st, 2027, with essential pre-planning and training dates scheduled in late July and early August to ensure the best start for you and your students.

Key Qualifications:

• Possession of an active GaPSC Special Education General Curriculum certification, specific to middle school
• Readiness to meet any additional state or district certification/endorsement requirements if identified
• Commitment to full-time hours (37.5–40 hours per week) for the duration of the contract
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to engage and inspire students with diverse learning needs

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver tailored instruction and support services for students with exceptionalities within a middle school setting
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to foster student success
• Maintain accurate student records in compliance with all federal, state, and school requirements
• Participate in annual IEP meetings, ongoing professional development, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture
• Attend required SPED training (July 29th) and teacher pre-planning sessions (July 31st – August 4th) prior to the school year’s start
