Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher within an inclusion setting, where your expertise will support a small group of students and drive meaningful growth. This full-time contract position is available for the academic year from August 3rd, 2026, to May 21st, 2027, with additional days for pre- and post-planning. You'll be stepping in to backfill a recent vacancy within a collaborative, supportive environment, working alongside two dedicated teams who are passionate about making a difference.
Key Qualifications:
- Current GaPSC Teaching Educator Certification
- Endorsement in SPED General Curriculum
- Experience or strong interest in inclusion classrooms
- Dedication to individualized instruction and collaborative teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to adapt quickly and build rapport with students and staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction to a caseload of approximately 8-9 students in an inclusion setting
- Collaborate with co-teachers, related service providers, and instructional teams
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
