An exciting contract opportunity awaits an experienced Special Education Teacher near Rossville, GA. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) runs from July 29th through May 21st, 2027—including pre-planning days—and is based at an elementary campus serving a close-knit community of students and staff.

This position offers a chance to make a significant difference working with a dedicated caseload of approximately 8-10 students, primarily in 1st and 2nd grade, with some Kindergartners. You'll facilitate inclusion in a dynamic classroom setting, providing essential support for young learners with a range of exceptionalities including autism, significant developmental delays, speech and language challenges, self-regulation needs, and learning disabilities. Toileting and diapering responsibilities are minimal, limited to one student who requires supervised support for a toileting goal.

Qualifications and Experience

• Active GaPSC Teaching License with a P-12 SPED endorsement
• Dyslexia endorsement required
• Experience supporting elementary students in an inclusive or specialized education setting
• Familiarity with IEPs, differentiated instruction, and progress monitoring
• Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and classroom management
