Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about guiding students with special needs in a collaborative and nurturing school environment.

You’ll work full-time from July 29th, 2026 to May 21st, 2027, aligning with the academic calendar and including dedicated pre-planning days. Your primary focus will be working with Kindergarten through 2nd grade students, with a caseload capped at 10 to ensure meaningful engagement. There may be a brief instructional commitment with upper grade students if necessary. Currently, the position serves students without major behavioral challenges or toileting needs.

Qualifications:

• Active GaPSC Teaching Credential
• P-12 Special Education General Curriculum Endorsement (minimum required)
• Elementary school experience preferred
• Strong classroom management and lesson adaptation skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning space

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction for students with varying learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
• Build trust and partnership with families and school leadership
