Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 1900 - 0730. Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need. Two weekends per six-week schedule period (additional weekends available upon request). 20 hours of orientation provided.

• Comprehensive case mix including wound care, telemetry monitoring, total joint replacement, bariatric surgery, respiratory management, and more
• Free on-site parking provided
• Floating required as needed based on operational demands

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years in Medical Surgical or Telemetry specialty
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• Must successfully pass telemetry exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria (100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% or higher overall score)
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Key Skills:

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• IV therapy including starting and maintaining peripheral lines, PICC line management, and central line blood draws
• Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
• Respiratory care including oxygen administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, and tracheostomy care
• Wound care and wound vac management
• Post-operative care for orthopedic trauma, total joint replacement, bariatric surgery, and neurosurgery patients
• Management of chest tubes, feeding tubes, colostomy/ileostomy care, and continuous bladder irrigation
• Experience with PCA pumps, Heparin and Insulin protocols
• Pre/post hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis management
