Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN), Medical/Telemetry – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day: 0700-1930, Night: 1900-0730) with every other weekend rotation and holidays as needed. Float to like units as required.

• Daily census of 28-29 patients with patient-centered, high-quality care focus

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in medical/telemetry specialty
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency examination prior to start (strict passing criteria applies)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility

Essential Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias and use of rapid response/code teams
• Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
• Central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care and management
• Titration of insulin drips
• Non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration
• Isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Telemetry Testing Requirements

Candidates must pass a telemetry examination with the following criteria:

• 100% identification of lethal rhythms (ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole)
• No incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions
• Overall passing score of 80% or higher
• Maximum of two attempts allowed (additional requirements apply for third attempt)
