Job Details: Job Location: BPB - ANCHORAGE, AK, Salary Range: Undisclosed,POSITION SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, the Compliance Manager is responsible for the administration and operational management of ANHC's compliance program. The position oversees compliance work plans, monitoring and auditing activities, policy governance and document control processes, compliance training, investigations, corrective action management, and regulatory compliance tracking. The Compliance Manager serves as a key resource to leaders and staff, providing operational leadership and program oversight while supporting the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer in maintaining an effective and independent compliance program.Qualifications:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage day-to-day compliance program operations in alignment with the annual work plan and priorities established by the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.Develop, maintain, and monitor the compliance work plan, audit calendar, regulatory deliverables, compliance monitoring activities, corrective action plans, and key program metrics.Coordinate and conduct compliance monitoring, internal audits, investigations, and risk assessments, including evidence collection, documentation, reporting, corrective action validation, and follow-up activities.Support the intake, triage, investigation, and documentation of compliance concerns, incidents, hotline reports, and other matters, escalating significant issues as appropriate.Monitor evolving federal, state, local, and program-specific regulatory requirements, including HRSA, FTCA, HIPAA, 340B, grant, payer, and related compliance obligations; assess organizational impact and coordinate implementation activities.Evaluate new workflows, operational initiatives, software implementations, vendor relationships, contract pharmacy arrangements, provider changes, and other organizational changes for compliance risk and appropriate control design.Partner with operational and clinical leaders to identify compliance vulnerabilities, strengthen internal controls, implement corrective actions, and reduce recurrence of identified issues.Manage the policy and procedure program, including governance standards, review workflows, approvals, publication, scheduled review cycles, retention, and archival processes.Serve as the administrator of ANHC’s document control system, ensuring the integrity, accessibility, version control, retention, and lifecycle management of compliance-related policies, procedures, and organizational documentation.Oversee maintenance of compliance records and documentation, including policies, procedures, audit workpapers, certifications, registrations, regulatory submissions, and materials required for internal reviews, audits, and regulatory inspections.Coordinate compliance education, training, communications, completion monitoring, and targeted awareness activities for leaders, providers, staff, and other stakeholders.Coordinate compliance activities involving vendors, business associates, delegated functions, contract pharmacies, and other regulated third parties.Prepare compliance dashboards, committee reports, audit summaries, corrective action updates, regulatory submissions, and program reports for organizational leadership and governance committees.Supervise assigned compliance staff, including workload management, coaching, professional development, and performance management.SUPPORTING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain organized records demonstrating compliance activities, decisions, follow-up, and effectiveness.Support audit and site-visit readiness by organizing evidence and coordinating responses and follow-up.Serve as a resource to committees and workgroups addressing compliance, policy, privacy, training, auditing, or regulatory readiness.Maintain professional growth through continuing education and awareness of regulatory changes.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:ANHC’s Mission, Vision and Values: Actively supports ANHC’s mission, vision and values; uses individual skills to add value to the mission “To improve wellness by providing high quality, compassionate health care regardless of ability to pay” and vision “ To address the unmet primary health care needs of our community; aligns actions around organizational values of RESPECT, COMPASSION, PERSONAL INTEGRITY, EXCELLENCE and COLLABORATIVE SPIRIT; gives priority to organizational mission and value when making decisions.Accountability: Takes ownership for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development; openly discusses his/her actions and their consequences both good and bad; has an ability to identify strengths and developmental opportunities and leverages insight to make adjustments to improve their effectiveness; courage to have difficult conversations.Adapting to Change: Accepts and adapts to change in a professionally appropriate and thoughtful manner. Provides timely and professional service to both internal and external customers; is responsive to customer needs and requests; is always courteous to the customer and considers the needs of the customer when making decisions.Teamwork: Meets all team deadlines and responsibilities, listens to others and values opinions, helps team and leader to meet goals, welcomes newcomers and promotes a team atmosphere.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Work Experience: Three years of progressively responsible experience in compliance, auditing, risk management, privacy, internal controls, quality improvement, regulatory affairs, grants compliance, contract compliance, healthcare operations, financial services compliance, government regulation, or a related field.Two to three years of leadership, supervisory, project management, or program oversight experience preferred.Education, Certification and Licensure: Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public administration, accounting, finance, law, compliance, public health, nursing, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, certification, and directly related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.Additional Skills & Knowledge: Strong analytical, investigative, documentation, and project management skills. Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements to operational leaders and staff.
