Job Description Position Title: One-to-One (504) Non-Instructional Paraeducator Location: Mill Plain Elementary School, Vancouver, Washington Position Type: Part‑time, permanent Working Hours: 6.33 hours per day (7:40 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. with 30‑minute unpaid lunch), 4.33 hours on Early‑Release Days (7:40 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. with 30‑minute unpaid time), 6.17 hours on designated full Wednesdays (7:40 a.m. – 2:20 p.m. with 30‑minute unpaid lunch). 190 days per year (180 student days, 10 holidays). Salary: $24.42 to $31 per hour, classification salary range. New employees start at the minimum hourly rate; prior verified years of similar experience may receive experience credit toward salary step placement. Eligible employees who work at least 630 hours in a school year may receive benefits including medical, dental, vision, basic long‑term disability, basic life and AD&D insurance through the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB); optional supplemental benefits such as FSA, DCAP, HSA, FPFSA with HDHP; employer‑funded retirement through the Department of Retirement Services. Paid holidays, paid time off (sick, vacation, personal, religious, bereavement) and additional negotiated leave are available per the Collective Bargaining Agreement for this position. Essential Functions Assist the classroom instructor in supervising and working with elementary and/or secondary students. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents. Provide one‑on‑one support to the student(s) to meet individualized (504) plan goals. Implement behavioral management strategies as outlined by the teacher. Organize and prepare instructional materials. Provide basic physical care: diapering, feeding, managing body fluids, lifting and positioning students as necessary. Attend training sessions to maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the one‑on‑one student(s). Other Responsibilities Perform other related duties as assigned.
