Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual, couple, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's needs.

• Assess clients' mental health status and develop comprehensive treatment plans that respect cultural backgrounds and personal goals.

• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) software to document session notes, treatment strategies, and progress updates accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care and comprehensive support for clients.
\n
• Engage in regular supervision meetings and training opportunities designed to enhance clinical skills and broaden therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain a caseload that includes a diverse range of patients, allowing for the application of various therapeutic techniques based on individual needs.

• Conduct sessions remotely or at the community health clinic as needed, ensuring a welcoming and therapeutic environment.

• Participate actively in community outreach initiatives to promote wellness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LMFT will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, from various cultural backgrounds. We are particularly committed to serving the Latino community, providing culturally relevant therapy that respects and integrates clients' unique cultural identities. The therapist will address a variety of concerns, including but not limited to trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, and perinatal mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree from an accredited graduate program in Counseling, Marriage and Family Studies, or a related field is required.
\n
• Possession of an active, unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills essential for delivering bilingual psychotherapy services.
\n
• At least two years of experience working in a mental health setting with children, adults, and families is crucial.
\n
• Knowledge of and respect for cultural differences and individual family customs.
\n
• Ability to effectively engage with clients and staff from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
\n
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapies, ideally training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

• Ability and willingness to work as an in-network provider for at least one insurance panel.
\n
• Strong motivation to learn and employ effective short-term individual and group therapy methodologies.
\n
• Demonstrated capacity for self-examination, self-disclosure, and empathy, which are essential for effective therapy.
\n
• Valid driver's license and car insurance, with a willingness to drive to our clinic as required.
\n
• Availability to work at least two evenings per week and one weekend day.
\n
• Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Experience\n

• An established area of specialization, such as trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, grief and loss, or perinatal mental health.

• Experience providing telehealth services in a secure and HIPAA-compliant manner.
\n
• A proven history of consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality in previous roles.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Sunny Valley Psychotherapy Center offers a competitive salary within the range of $70,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the attractive salary, new hires will receive a sign-on bonus.
