Work Environment

Located in the heart of Amsterdam, New York, our surgical center offers a fast-paced yet supportive environment. You will be actively involved in patient care within our modern facility that caters to a diverse patient population. The role is primarily onsite, with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, including a consistent 5:00 pm shift. You can expect to engage daily with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that every patient receives comprehensive treatment tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and meticulously review patient medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging studies, utilizing results to inform treatment decisions.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of health conditions typically encountered in family medicine.
• Develop personalized treatment plans for chronic illnesses and infectious diseases, ensuring they are aligned with patients' lifestyle and health goals.
• Prescribe medications, adjusting these as necessary based on patients' responses and health developments.
• Maintain organized and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with health regulations and facilitating effective communication.
• Provide education to patients and their families concerning health issues, treatment options, and prevention strategies.
• Promote preventive health measures and support healthy lifestyle choices among patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse demographic, focusing primarily on individuals seeking surgical interventions and those requiring ongoing management of health conditions. Your role will bridge gaps in care, providing exceptional support in the pre-operative, operative, and post-operative phases of patient treatment. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• State licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Proven experience in a clinical setting, particularly in family health or surgical clinics, is preferred.
• Solid foundation in family medicine with a keen understanding of the surgical patient pathway.
• Strong knowledge of health regulations and standards of care.

• A DEA number for prescription management is required.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to USD 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
