Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner will work onsite at our hospital facility, where a supportive and engaging work atmosphere fosters professional growth and teamwork. This full-time position supports a Monday to Friday work schedule, comprising 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and accurately obtain comprehensive patient medical histories to assess conditions to devise effective treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, tailoring clinical pathways to meet individual patient needs.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare practitioners, ensuring a holistic approach to pain management.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests to monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, pain management strategies, and health promotion to empower them in their journey towards recovery.
• Work side-by-side with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records in accordance with legal and ethical standards while ensuring patient confidentiality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on patients dealing with pain management challenges, which include individuals suffering from chronic pain conditions, postoperative pain, and pain due to injuries or disabilities. The Nurse Practitioner will be integral to our specialized Pain Management Clinic, where understanding and addressing the complexities of pain will be paramount to achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a current Registered Nurse Licensure.
• Possession of an active Nurse Practitioner certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience specifically related to pain management or conducting physical examinations.
• Exceptional clinical assessment abilities combined with strong interpersonal and organizational skills that facilitate effective patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a hospital or clinic setting focusing on pain management.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth practices.
• Proficiency in the use of medical diagnostic tools and familiarity with current treatment modalities in pain management.
