The duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising subordinates more than 25% of the time including, but not limited to, recruitment, selecting, appraising, rewarding, addressing performance problems, and fostering an inclusive workplace.
• Leads the application of financial policy and procedures including budget formulation and justification, allocation of funds, status of funds reporting, year end funds reporting, and funds management.
• Participates in determining the financial information needed at the Deputy Administrator level and develops and provides the status of funds analyses.
• Monitors all funded unit obligations and projected balances to effectively utilize available financial resources.
• Maintains close surveillance of over and under obligations or allocations in comparison to allotments and makes recommendations regarding adjustment of funds with these areas.
• Manages funds allocation process within VS for all types of funds – annual appropriations, no year appropriations, emergency, supplemental, user fee revenue, and other reimbursable funds.
• Devises processes and procedures for controlling budgetary and other type limitations and restrictions such as allotments, obligations, revenues, travel, personnel ceilings, and overtime.
• Develops budgetary analysis for use in responding to requests for information, such as distribution of funds by program, geographic locations, data on all organizational units, etc.
