Staff Accountant

Entry-Level Staff AccountantTechstra Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is beginning their accounting career and wants to gain hands-on experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with numbers, and eager to learn. This position will work closely with members of the accounting and finance team to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with daily accounting activities and general ledger maintenanceProcess accounts payable invoices and assist with vendor paymentsAssist with accounts receivable, customer invoicing, and payment applicationPrepare bank, credit card, and other account reconciliationsTrack weekly hours submissions from employees and contractorsCommunicate with clients, vendors and internal team on a daily basisResolve client and vendor invoicing questions and information requestsAssist with month-end and year-end closing proceduresRecord journal entries and maintain supporting documentationAssist with reviewing and maintaining accounting recordsResearch and resolve discrepancies in accounts and transactionsAssist with financial reporting and preparation of management reportsMaintain organized and accurate financial recordsAssist with payroll-related accounting and reconciliations as neededHelp ensure transactions are properly coded to the appropriate accountsAssist with audits, tax-related requests, and other accounting projectsPerform other accounting and administrative duties as assignedPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferredRecent college graduate or 0–2 years of accounting experienceExperience with QuickBooks OnlineProficiency with Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and spreadsheet functionsStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to handle confidential financial information professionallyStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently while also being a team playerWillingness to learn and take on new responsibilitiesAbout Techstra SolutionsTechstra Solutions is a certified woman-owned (WBENC) management consulting firm specializing in strategy, technology, and implementation services for large organizations undergoing digital and talent transformation.
