Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Bright Star, you will:

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans focusing on improving muscle function, alleviating pain, and preventing disability.
• Oversee and collaborate with Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective treatment delivery.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations using diagnostic tests to assess the patient’s level of function.
• Analyze the home and rehabilitation environment to propose adaptations that increase patient independence.
• Provide skilled physical therapy services as prescribed by a physician, including administering manual therapeutic exercises and therapeutic modalities.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed and reporting changes to the healthcare team.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary case conferences and contribute to holistic treatment planning.
• Prepare thorough clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries.
• Guide patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and the utilization of assistive devices.
• Engage in regular updates and assessments to optimize patient outcomes and utilize community resources effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. Your focus will be on creating tailored rehabilitation strategies that address both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery, fostering a supportive environment that enhances patient engagement.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to patient care.
• A commitment to clinical excellence and ongoing learning.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
