Work Environment

The rehabilitation facility is equipped with state-of-the-art resources and tools that support effective therapy protocols. Operating from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, this role necessitates flexibility and strong communication skills to cooperate with patients and healthcare professionals alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and apply state practice acts, ensuring adherence to laws governing physical therapy practice and supervising responsibilities.

• Conduct thorough examinations to evaluate patients’ functional limitations and disabilities, developing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.

• Provide comprehensive evaluation services, including reviewing medical histories, conducting assessments, and documenting treatment recommendations.

• Implement treatment protocols with proficiency, adjusting strategies based on evaluation findings and patients’ progress.

• Consult with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and modify treatment plans as necessary.

• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care meticulously, documenting all patient-related activities and progress updates in compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Complete required corporate and clinical training, ensuring compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.

• Attend facility meetings and actively participate in team initiatives that enhance patient access and care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Your role will include direct patient interactions, assessing their specific challenges and designing interventions that promote recovery and wellness. Your dedicated approach will significantly impact our patients, helping them regain independence and functionality.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.

• A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating competence in clinical practices.

• Current CPR certification to ensure readiness for emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is two years, candidates with additional orthopedic rehabilitation experience or specialized training in advanced therapeutic techniques will be preferred. Familiarity with electronic health records and other health information systems will also be advantageous.
