Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position in Rehabilitation Center

Work Environment

This position is based entirely onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center, equipped with cutting-edge technologies and facilities. The center features spacious treatment areas designed to foster a supportive atmosphere for patient healing and engagement. As a Physical Therapist, you will be engaged in hands-on therapy sessions, assessing and treating various orthopedic conditions, working directly with patients five days a week, from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' needs and establish their rehabilitation goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and measurable outcomes.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and exercise interventions, to enhance patient mobility and reduce pain.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of no more than one patient per hour to ensure quality care.
• Document all services provided, maintaining accurate records in our EMR software, including WebPT.
• Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatment plans, and preventive strategies to promote long-term wellness.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery and performance.
• Encourage patients throughout their therapy journey, fostering motivation and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Engage in continual learning to enhance your skills, including participation in staff training and workshops.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At PhysioCare, you'll primarily work with a diverse population including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your role will be pivotal in helping these patients regain strength, flexibility, and coordination, facilitating their return to daily activities and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions on professional license.
• Strong competency in manual therapy techniques and functional exercise prescription.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients.
• Proficiency in using EMR software for documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation settings is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with evidence-based interventions tailored to a variety of orthopedic conditions.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment with other healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits
