Work Environment

This position is onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Orlando, Florida. The work environment is designed to promote rehabilitation and healing. As a Physical Therapist in our facility, you will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the comprehensive management of our patients’ rehabilitation needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Life and Wellness Services, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions by gathering data from diagnoses, clinical and patient history, and comprehensive examinations.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans aligning with patients’ goals, integrating therapeutic modalities, exercises, and education.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to modify treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Perform hands-on therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and electrotherapy as appropriate.
• Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatment procedures, and home exercise programs to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to the State Practice Act, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment accordingly.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, fractures, and chronic pain conditions. A thorough understanding of different age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics, will be important as treatment approaches may vary significantly. Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and teammates.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

While the required education is a must, candidates with additional experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, particularly in a fast-paced clinical environment, will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and experience in patient documentation workflows are preferred. Previous participation in continuing education, particularly in orthopedic specialties, will enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Life and Wellness Services also provides a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
