Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your primary responsibilities will revolve around delivering high-quality mental health care to our patients. Your tasks will include:

• Facilitating Group Therapy: Lead engaging therapy sessions where clients can share their experiences in a supportive environment, helping them build community and connection.

• Providing Individual Therapy: Offer one-on-one counseling sessions that focus on understanding each client's unique thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Develop customized coping strategies and action plans to guide clients toward their goals.

• Creating Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to design individualized treatment strategies that reflect their goals and preferences, ensuring a personalized approach to care.

• Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess client progress through various tools and feedback methods, documenting changes and adapting treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborating with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with other mental health professionals, social workers, and staff to coordinate care, consult on cases, and ensure an integrated approach to client treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position specifically focuses on supporting a young adult demographic, ages 18 to 30, who encounter diverse mental health challenges. You will engage with individuals participating in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), where treatment is evidence-based and designed to address a wide range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders.

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
