Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Burn ICU for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Burn ICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 22 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The organization is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in ICU Burn care to work at a Level One Trauma Center and Wisconsins only American College of Surgeons (ACS)-verified Adult and Pediatric Burn Center. This position involves providing compassionate care to adult and pediatric patients with burns and complex wounds in a critical care setting on a busy 11-bed acuity adaptable unit. Job Details Location: Madison, WI Position: ICU Burn RN Schedule: Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts working between 0700-1930, with every other weekend and some holidays. The shift may include 4x12-hour shifts if interested. Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse license or compact RN license, ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications, at least 2 years of inpatient acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty, ICU experience required, Epic charting system experience required, ability to pass telemetry test prior to start, and experience with managing Ports, arterial lines, and ventilated patients. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with burn care, trauma level I or level II experience, familiarity with high-acuity critical care procedures, and pediatric burn care experience. Additional Responsibilities: Practice as part of a multidisciplinary team on a 11-bed acuity adaptable unit, providing specialized burn and complex wound care, including ventilator management, arterial line management, and patient assessment. Special Equipment & Skills: ICU experience required. Traveler will be required to pass telemetry test prior to starting. Travel & Certification Requirements: Travel experience required. Pass/Fail telemetry testing with strict passing criteria, including a required adult and pediatric exam with two attempts. Orientation: 20 hours of orientation included. Float: Float rotation may be required. Minimum Experience: Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty.
