Resource Management Department Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator II) Job No: 557300 Work Type: Staff Location: Southern California: San Diego Categories: Bargaining Unit: Unit 7 - CSUEU - Clerical and Administrative Support Services, Job Search Category/Discipline: Administrative, Appointment Type: Probationary, Time Basis: Full Time, Workplace Type: Telecommute eligible (work onsite as scheduled and/or as requested and telecommute as scheduled) Position Summary Highly organized professional who enjoys managing details, supporting complex operations, and keeping an office running smoothly. The Resource Management Department Coordinator supports the administrative, financial, and operational needs of the Resource Management department within the Fowler College of Business. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and administer administrative and operational functions, including faculty compensation processes, student employment programs, and college-wide services, while managing multiple priorities. Perform financial tracking, reconciliation activities, and budget support, including payroll and program expenditures, and maintain accurate records. Interpret and apply university policies related to payroll, procurement, and administrative processes to ensure compliance. Maintain electronic records and data systems, compile and track financial and operational information, and prepare reports to support decision‑making. Serve as a central point of contact to coordinate workflows and communicate procedures with departments, faculty, staff, and external partners. Support procurement and general office operations, including processing purchases, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with vendors. Why Join Us? Non‑exempt under FLSA, eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., subject to operational needs. Approved for partial telecommuting after a 6‑month training period with onsite work in San Diego. Education and Experience Entry requires a fully functional knowledge of standard office procedures and practice, ability to understand and operate in various organizational structures, clear communication skills, and proficiency in business mathematics and office technology systems. Qualifications normally obtained through a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience. Key Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills; draft correspondence; thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint. Clerical, administrative, and financial experience with knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to perform standard business math, including ratios, percentages, tracking financial data, and simple projections. Knowledge of university infrastructure, policies, procedures, and office systems, and ability to apply policies independently. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently. Effective handling of interpersonal contacts, including higher‑level stakeholders and confidential matters. Experience building and maintaining vendor relationships with a focus on customer service and collaboration. Proficiency with PeopleSoft, Oracle, Adaptive, and OnBase is preferred. Compensation and Benefits Step placement determined by qualifications and budget; initial step not expected to exceed Step 1 ($4,367). Salary step placement for internal applicants follows the CSUEU Collective Bargaining Agreement. CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,367 – $6,362 per month (Step 1 – Step 20). Future increases, including step advancements, subject to contract negotiations. Generous Time Off : 15 paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
