Business Development Representative

Overview Milton Rents is a growing equipment rental company with 16 locations across New England and Upstate New York. We're looking for a driven, competitive Business Development Representative to help expand our customer base and drive revenue growth. This is not an order-taking role. You'll leverage construction industry databases, CRM tools, and proactive outreach to identify opportunities, engage lost customers, and win new business. Pay: Base Salary of $65,000-$75,000 + Commission Responsibilities What You’ll Do Prospect and develop new customer relationships through outbound sales efforts Make 30-50+ outbound calls daily to identify rental opportunities Generate new business and reactivate inactive accounts Promote additional equipment, products, and services to increase customer accounts Manage inbound web and media-generated leads Maintain accurate customer, lead, and opportunity records in CRM Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify future rental needs Research upcoming construction projects and market opportunities Collaborate with the sales team to achieve growth goals Attend trade shows and Association networking events. Build strong customer relationships through outstanding service and problem-solving Qualifications What We’re Looking For Previous inside sales, outside sales, business development, or customer-facing sales experience Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills Self-starter with a competitive, results-driven mindset Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications Construction, equipment rental, or related industry knowledge is a plus Valid driver’s license Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience What You Get Base salary + bonus (high earning potential) Full benefits (medical, dental, vision, life and disability) 401(k) with match Paid Time Off and 8 Company-Paid Holidays About Us Milton Rents is a growing equipment rental company with 16 locations across New England and Upstate New York.
