Keyport, LLC is a family-owned company specializing in premium wild-caught seafood, including Alaska Red King Crab, Golden King Crab, Snow Crab, and Dungeness Crab.

Keyport serves major grocery, club, foodservice, restaurant, wholesale, and distribution customers across the United States.

Keyport is seeking an experienced National Account Manager to manage and grow strategically important customer relationships while pursuing new national-account opportunities.

This role requires someone who understands the complexity of selling into sophisticated national retail, grocery, club, wholesale, and foodservice organizations.

The Opportunity

Unlike a traditional territory sales position, this role requires the ability to navigate large corporate customer organizations, understand complex buying structures, respond to competitive bid opportunities, manage detailed customer requirements, and build relationships at multiple levels of an account.

The National Account Manager will serve as an important customer advocate while helping Keyport achieve sales growth and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with national and major customer accounts.
• Develop relationships throughout customer organizations rather than depending on a single buyer relationship.
• Identify opportunities to increase account revenue and profitability.
• Prospect for and develop new national-account opportunities.
• Navigate complex corporate purchasing and procurement environments.
• Participate in competitive bid and tender processes.
• Deliver presentations and negotiate pricing and account opportunities.
• Coordinate customer onboarding and ongoing account requirements.
• Promote Keyport's branded, private-label, commodity, and value-added product opportunities.
• Sell across grocery, mass merchandise, club, wholesale, distributor, and foodservice channels.
• Identify product opportunities based on individual customer needs.
• Work closely with Credit, Sales Support, Production Management, Logistics, and other internal departments.
• Maintain detailed CRM records and customer information.
• Provide customer feedback and sales reporting to company leadership.
• Travel approximately 10-15% as required.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience with national retail grocery chains, major retail/club accounts, wholesale food accounts, or similar sophisticated customers.
• Experience selling commodity or brandless food products, where pricing and supply conditions shift frequently, is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex national or major accounts.
• Experience working within structured corporate purchasing or procurement environments.
• Strong relationship-management skills across multiple levels of a customer's organization.
• Understanding of pricing, bids, tenders, negotiations, and customer requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Experience using CRM tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• College degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder;
  we are unable to sponsor work visas for this role.

Highly Preferred

• Refrigerated or frozen food sales experience.
• Food, seafood, perishable, foodservice, grocery, or CPG experience.
• Existing experience working with major national retailers, grocery chains, club stores, distributors, or large foodservice organizations.
• Seafood knowledge.

Location

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Edmonds, Washington .

Candidates should be able to work from the Keyport office five days per week.
