Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while still enabling you to connect with patients in a supportive outpatient practice. Our work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to cater to patient needs, ensuring we can provide timely and effective care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally-sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' unique experiences and formulate tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions that consider the cultural and personal backgrounds of each patient.

• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing mental health concerns while promoting resilience and well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless, coordinated care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, assessing immediate needs and implementing appropriate responses.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and relevant community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation that complies with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Actively engage in case conferences and team meetings, participating in cultural competency training and continuous professional development.

• Stay updated on current research, emerging best practices, and cultural considerations affecting mental health therapy.

Your work will focus on individuals from an array of cultural backgrounds, including ethnic and racial minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant families. By understanding their unique experiences and challenges, you will enhance the effectiveness of mental health interventions and support optimal patient outcomes within our culturally diverse practice.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.
\n
• A profound understanding of diverse mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
\n
• Proven experience delivering individual and group therapy in an inclusive manner, reflective of cultural responsiveness.

• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to maintain composure and effectiveness during high-stress situations.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with individuals from various backgrounds.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications related to patient care.

• A commitment to ethical practice, including the maintenance of professional boundaries and patient confidentiality.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, valuing diverse perspectives and insights.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role focusing on multicultural populations preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
