Senior Accountant

We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant / Accounting Analyst to join our Marietta based client's team. This is a contract to hire role that is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong blend of financial analysis and reconciliation expertise. You'll play a key role in supporting our client's financial operations through insightful reporting and rigorous account management. Note this is a hybrid role requiring 3 in office days each week. Targeted pay is $45 an hour with a conversion amount (as this is a contract to hire role) of $90,000 - $95,000. Responsibilities * Conduct sales analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and performance metrics * Perform expense variance analysis to support budget accuracy and cost control * Prepare and review cash reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow tracking * Complete balance sheet reconciliations with precision and timeliness * Support monthly P&L reviews, identifying key drivers and anomalies * Collaborate cross-functionally to improve reporting processes and financial transparency * Assist with ad hoc financial projects and internal audits as needed Requirements * Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting roles involving both analysis and reconciliations * Proven P&L experience with a strong understanding of financial statements * Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.) * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with accuracy * Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field * CPA or progress toward certification is a plus * Experience with mid-size to larger ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics) Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
