Staff Accountant
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions
LAUNCH is a leading aviation staffing company that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team in their Oak Brook office. The Staff Accountant is responsible for working with the accounting team in creating accurate and timely financial statements while upholding the company’s standards and culture. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller, and will be highly visible to the Controller, CFO and other members of the senior leadership team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing and documenting journal entries for routine business transactions Reviewing and reconciling the general ledger Assisting in month-end and year-end closing procedures Manage accounts receivable process, including invoice generation, cash application, and account maintenance Reconcile third party payments through Intuit QuickBooks Payments and Ebiz Charge Support cash flow objectives by reviewing accounts receivable aging with business units to collect outstanding payments Providing support to outside accountants during annual financial audit Preparing financial statements and footnotes for annual audited financial statements Tracking and reconciling major expenses Assisting the Controller and CFO with other ad-hoc projects as needed Assist in the due diligence and accounting integration of acquired companies Other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Self-starter who can drive accomplishments Trustworthy, with attention to confidentiality Able to work both independently and in a group High energy and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive and dynamic environment Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written Excellent spelling and grammar skills Ability to maintain high-quality work and meet strict deadlines Strong proficiency in Excel (vlookups and pivot tables) Ability to adhere to LAUNCH’s Mission and ValuesMINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 2 - 3 years in an accounting role CPA requiredKEY RELATIONSHIPS
