Job Title : Accounting Clerk

Location: Irvine, CA

Pay rate : $26 p/h

Employment Type: Temp-to-hire

FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Schedule: M-F 7 am to 4 pm.

Job Description/Duties:

• Sets up new vendors.
• Matches and posts inventory invoices.
• Checks and verifies expense reports.
• Gathers receipts from employees and processes credit card statements.
• Prepares and participates in special projects, including the rebate process, research, and summarizing.
• Enters invoices and processes all payments, including preparing manual checks as necessary.
• Billings, filings, and daily Bank Deposits.
• Review return authorizations and issue credit memos.
• Customer Accounts maintenance.
• Collections.
• Receive payments and post to appropriate customers and general ledger accounts.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
• Must possess 3+ years' experience in Accounting (receivables and payables)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be detail-oriented and have good organizational skills
• Experience with MS Office and good computer knowledge required
• Experience in the trading/manufacturing industry preferred
• Knowledge of Great Plains software a plus
