Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to accurately identify the needs, challenges, and goals of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based modalities and therapeutic techniques specifically suited to each patient's situation.

• Facilitate individual counseling sessions using methods such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and other therapeutic approaches to support recovery.

• Lead engaging group therapy sessions that promote peer support, build coping skills, and provide a safe space for sharing experiences.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare providers to deliver well-coordinated and comprehensive care solutions.

• Provide crisis intervention support during emergencies related to substance use and recovery, ensuring patient safety and immediate access to care.

• Educate patients and their families about the nuances of addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development activities.

• Stay informed about the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in substance use disorder treatment and mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals grappling with substance use disorders, including those navigating the early stages of recovery and those who may be at risk of relapse. You will work with a diverse population, which may include adults from various socio-economic backgrounds, emphasizing culturally sensitive care practices to ensure that each patient receives comprehensive support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York is required.

• In-depth understanding of substance use disorders, recovery-oriented practices, and various evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy specifically within addiction treatment settings.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, empathically, and non-judgmentally with patients and families.

• Demonstrated ability to establish professional boundaries while maintaining ethical standards and patient confidentiality.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team approach, contributing to a cohesive care environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 115,000 and 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we offer a competitive compensation package that includes bonuses and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
