About the Role
The Company is seeking a Director, Assistant General Counsel to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a legal leader and a key partner to the marketing, customer care, and technology teams, ensuring the business operates in a compliant and protected manner. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including the legal review of marketing and promotional content, serving as a subject matter expert on subscription commerce law, advising on intellectual property and FDA requirements, and leading privacy compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. degree, active bar membership, and at least 10 years of legal experience, with a strong background in consumer protection law, advertising and marketing regulations, and subscription commerce. Applicants for this role at the company should be pragmatic, business-minded attorneys with a proven track record of being true business partners. The role requires the ability to manage multiple legal areas simultaneously and to provide practical, direct advice that enables the business to operate efficiently. Experience in managing outside counsel, excellent judgment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment are essential. The Director, Assistant General Counsel will also be involved in shaping the legal infrastructure, building processes, and frameworks to support the business's legal needs.
