Position Overview

Work Environment

Our work setting is primarily remote, offering flexibility to our mental health counselors. While you will primarily conduct sessions from the comfort of your home or a chosen safe place, our practice also includes an outpatient office in Clarksville, Tennessee. This hybrid model allows us to extend our reach, providing tailored therapies to clients in various locations. We leverage advanced telehealth technologies to facilitate effective communication and ensure accessibility for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments during initial consultations to evaluate clients' mental health and emotional needs, using standardized tools and observational techniques.
• Develop, document, and implement customized treatment plans that are evidence-based and aligned with each client’s individual goals.
• Facilitate various therapeutic modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions, tailored to meet the specific needs of diverse client populations.
• Monitor clients’ progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans and therapeutic approaches based on feedback, documented progress, and client well-being.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients in distress, helping them navigate acute situations effectively and compassionately.
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health counselors to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development through training sessions, workshops, and supervision to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health treatment.
• Uphold the highest ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by licensing boards and relevant organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients served by Brave Health Counseling Services are varied, including children, adolescents, and adults facing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and behavioral disorders. Our approach is holistic, and we strive to provide culturally competent care that respects each individual's unique background and experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in Tennessee, including qualifications such as LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW.
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• A compassionate approach to therapy, with a strong commitment to the well-being of clients.
• A capacity to function both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of three years of relevant experience in mental health counseling is required. Experience working with diverse populations and a variety of mental health concerns will be considered a significant advantage.
